i have been chasing chandru for the past 45 days, since the time Kishan and Navin dropped in at home. chandru speaks very obligingly; but he is so frightfull busy that for all this preriod he has not been able to organise a short meeting between us. i was not too hopeful; but felt it would be nice to work with Sony as it is close by and Chandu is known to me. he too has regards for me; but the his hectic schedule is coming in the way of my plans.
there is no hope from reliance.
anoher assistant of mine Babu hulmani called me a week back - from a hospital. he said he had gone there to get his kidney stones removed. he too asked me about my career. hearing my answer he offered me 2 jobs that are to start in a few months. one is regular 3 month trips to Africa perhaps to Tanzania for doing some shows. another is a TV serial starting in September. the meeting for that will be in Aug. it seems it is going to be the biggest TV show till now. 2 units will be shooting symutaneously. we both are to handle them.
time has come that my assistants are helping me to ge a job - I hope they succeed.
Ananta is finally be going to Bangalore to pursue her B Sc animation course from Toon Skool. Her admission has been approved. there were some hickups in corresponding with office regarding the seat booking amount of 25500. munna is in banglaore to sort out all this. Ihad called Anju for helping Munna.
Anju called in morning and we had a 3 way conference call with Ketav too. It seems the amount of 25500 will be refunded without hastle. further munna will go to Pesse campus on Hosur road and Nitte to take a look at both of them for finalising the campus.
I am so happy that Ketav met him and sorted out things for munna.
Ananta too called an hour back (1.30pm). she was sounding so happy and perky. the reason? she has got admissions in 4 of north campus Delhi colleges for English honors. So cool. she was excited and asked me if she should think of going to delhi. I suggested NO.
I posted my 'scare' of ananta going to bangalore to which Apy and Anju wrote the following:-

yesterday sound recordist M N Shaikh of BR theatre expired. at 8om I got an SMS from Dinesh Chaturvedi, saying the funeral was at 9pm opp Santacruz police station. I had a bath, then had my dinner and left. got there a little after 9pm. but it was in control. I called Shaikh saab's number to speak to his family; but no one picked it. In a few minutes some one called me. call was from his son-in-law. I had met shaikh saab's daughter in his house few months back.
I had to record some more in order to complete his interview. so i had gone to his home at Kurla. He was so kind, being so old he came down from his 3rd floor flat to meet me and take me up. His daughter, a tall lady was very kind and her 2 children were very soft and sweet. I met boy Kaif at the Mosque. I pulled him close to me and he put his head on my chest without hesitation. i was there through the process of burial, which is different than catholics and returned home with Chaturvediji, who dropped me a 4 bungalow.
Today at 5pm my Plus assistant Babu Hulmani called up from a hospital. he is going through a operation for kidney stones. He sounded very cool about it and said he had been through it many times before. He was very concerned about my joblessness. He said he will recommend me to units which needs multiple recordists. Nice of him. even Navin and Kishan who dropped in about 15 days back also said they would look for sync 'sound films' for me to handle. Nice of them too.
Next week, sometime Monday (22 Apr) onwards a meeting with Chadru may get organised for some work with Sony. I don't have much hope there as I am nearly 60 now. People don't get a regular job at such late age.
Yesterday i chatted with kishu after a whole month had passed she has been in the US. it was a failt long chat. it was night for her at my 11am here. she said she is generally on chat around that time. satish was on phone with her too, as her ma-in-law was sick and manju had gone to Indore for this purpose. it is my short coming that i start feeling miserable if i am out of touch with her. I start feeling she is not too keen to stay in touch with me. but when we do get in touch all that is mis-spelt.
she sent me the video of her house by usendit. we were in conversation as to how to get it. i wanted to see her house so badly. then she and mishu thought may be it can be uploaded onto my youtube account. but later it was decided to not upload it but just watch it personally. rupesh is little careful with such things as he works for a big company.
today i called ananta too to aske her progress of admission in BA. she had gone to delhi for entrance exams (16-19 June). but she met someone in dlehi who told her about advantages of animation. it seems munna has sent an amount of 25000 to Toon School to block the seat for her. So it seems that she is now joining B Sc animation at Bangalore. it is good that a decision has been made for her and her field is decided.
